Welcome to Yohanashi

Here, you’re invited into a slower rhythm, one where you can notice what you’re carrying, reconnect with your inner world, and find gentle ways forward.

Whether you are moving through change, holding unspoken weight, or simply longing for a quiet place to pause, you do not have to do it alone.

Our Services

At present, Yohanashi offers three online 1:1 sessions for adults and young people,
each 60 minutes long. Every session is designed as a private and supportive space to pause, reflect, and gently reconnect with yourself at your own pace.

Alongside these, Yohanashi also facilitates three community programmes based in Tokyo. These programmes are created for people at different stages of life, each offering its own dedicated space for reflection, creative expression, and connection.

Take your time to explore what's available below.

A Space for You

Sometimes, it helps to have a space where nothing is expected of you.

A space where you can pause, think, and simply be.
This is what your time here may feel like.

Arriving as You Are

You don’t need to prepare or have the right words.
You can come exactly as you are, even if things feel unclear or heavy.

Space to Speak and Pause

You’re given time to talk, think, and even sit in silence.
There’s no pressure to explain everything perfectly.

Gentle Understanding

Together, we explore your thoughts and feelings at your pace, helping you make sense of what’s been sitting beneath the surface.

Leaving with Clarity

You leave feeling lighter, clearer, and more connected to yourself, with a deeper understanding of what you need next.

Space to Speak and Pause

You're given time to ease in, reflect, and share what's been on your mind. The session moves at your pace, with no pressure to explain everything perfectly or have it all figured out.

Gentle Understanding

Together, we gently explore what's coming up for you, helping you make sense of things that have been difficult to untangle on your own.

Leaving with Clarity

You leave with a little more understanding of yourself than when you arrived, a clearer sense of what you're feeling, and perhaps a gentler idea of what your next step could look like.

Testimonials

“What stayed with me most was how present the sessions felt. I felt listened to, not only in the words I shared but also in the pauses and the feelings that were hard to express. I never felt rushed or judged.”

“When I started working with Diana, I was in the middle of a big life change and feeling completely untethered.
Her sessions gave me something I didn’t know I needed a calm, steady space to just be where I was without pressure. She didn’t try to push me toward answers. Instead, she gently helped me hear my own."

“At first I didn’t know what to expect, but it quickly felt easy to talk. I had been feeling burned out and struggling with simple routines, and the sessions helped me notice small steps I could actually take.
Each time gave me a clearer sense of direction.”

FAQ

How is holistic counselling different from coaching or counselling?

Coaching is usually future-focused and helps people set goals, make plans, and stay accountable.

Counselling is more therapeutic, supporting people through emotional challenges, grief, or past experiences while helping them explore patterns and feelings with a trained professional.

Holistic counselling brings these approaches together while also considering your emotional, mental, physical, and sometimes spiritual wellbeing. At Yohanashi, sessions are not about chasing achievements or keeping track of goals. Instead, they offer a steady space where you can reflect, listen inward, and give attention to what feels important in your life right now.

What happens in a Yohanashi session?

Sessions are shaped by how you arrive on the day. Many people prefer to begin with open space to talk, reflect, or write, and sometimes creative or body-based practices are included if they feel supportive. There is no pressure to share everything or to follow a strict plan. The pace is always guided by you.

For those who prefer more structure, sessions can also be arranged with a particular focus in mind. This might mean reflecting on a life transition, working with patterns of self-criticism, creating space for rest, or exploring relationships.

Even with structure, the purpose is not to set goals or chase outcomes, but to hold space for the thoughts, feelings, and experiences that matter most to you.

Do I have to talk a lot or share everything?

No. You are welcome to share as much or as little as feels right for you. Some people find it natural to talk openly, while others prefer writing, quiet reflection, or simply taking time to be present in the space.

You don’t need to tell your whole story in order to be understood. Sometimes the smallest moments of insight or recognition can be the most meaningful.

How do I know if this is right for me?

Holistic counselling may feel supportive if you appear capable on the outside but feel tired inside, if you are moving through burnout or a significant change, or if something in your life feels heavy and difficult to untangle.

It may also resonate if you are emotionally sensitive, naturally reflective, or if you value honesty and personal growth. You do not need to wait until you are in crisis to begin. Sometimes the wish to slow down, reflect, and reconnect with yourself is reason enough to explore this kind of space.

To help you decide, I offer a free 30-minute call where we can meet, talk through what you are looking for, and see if it feels like a good fit.

What are the next steps if I’m interested?

If you feel curious about this work, the first step is to arrange a free 30-minute call.
This is a relaxed opportunity to ask questions, share what has been on your mind,
and get a sense of whether this space feels right for you.

All sessions are held online.
To get the most out of your time together, a quiet and private space with a
stable internet connection is recommended.

If you're not quite ready for a call yet, you're always welcome to reach out
through the contact form with any questions you may have.

How should I prepare for my first session?

There is no right or wrong way to prepare. Some people find it helpful to reduce distractions beforehand, and keeping a notebook nearby can make it easier to capture reflections.

Choosing a quiet, private space with a stable internet connection is recommended, and tissues can be useful if strong emotions arise.

If you like, you can create a calming atmosphere with a candle, blanket, or scent, though this is optional.

The most important thing is to arrive as you are.

What can I do between sessions to support myself?

Often the most meaningful integration happens in daily life. You might choose to journal, record voice notes, or pay attention to patterns such as self-criticism or comparison.

Small experiments like resting when you would normally push through, or setting a gentle boundary, can also be supportive. Spending time in nature, engaging your senses, or expressing yourself creatively may help as well.

There is no set checklist. Approaching yourself with curiosity and care is what allows gradual change to unfold.

What is your cancellation policy?

Life happens, and sometimes plans change. If you need to cancel or reschedule, all I ask is that you give at least 24 hours' notice where possible. Cancellations made with less than 24 hours' notice may be charged the full session fee, except in cases of emergency.

How often should I come to sessions?

The rhythm of sessions depends on your needs and circumstances. Some people find weekly or fortnightly sessions helpful during times of transition or emotional intensity.

Others prefer monthly sessions to stay grounded and connected. We can discuss your situation together and decide on a pattern that feels sustainable and supportive for you.

Is this suitable if I’ve never done counselling before?

Yes. Many people who come to Yohanashi are new to counselling.

You do not need prior experience or special knowledge to begin. I will explain the process as we go, check in regularly, and make sure the pace feels comfortable. The only step you need to take is to show up as you are.

Who is holistic counselling for?

Holistic counselling is for anyone who wants to understand themselves more deeply and take care of their emotional wellbeing in a supportive way. It can be especially meaningful if you often feel emotionally drained or overstimulated, if you are moving through a life transition, or if much of your energy goes into caring for others while leaving little for yourself.

You don’t need to come with a clear plan or a formal diagnosis. Simply choosing to create space for reflection and self-understanding is already a valuable place to begin.
